Information You Provide

Passages and Scripture
When you add passages or select scripture, the text is stored locally on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework. This content never leaves your device.

Information Collected Automatically

Anonymous Usage Analytics
We use TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service, to understand how people use the App. We collect:

• When passages are added or deleted (word count only, not content)
• Practice session duration and modes used
• Feature usage (e.g., focus mode)

This data is anonymous — it contains no personal identifiers and cannot be traced back to you. TelemetryDeck does not track users across the App or websites. For more information, see TelemetryDeck’s Privacy Policy.

Device Information
The App may collect basic device information (iOS version, device model) as part of standard app analytics. This information is anonymized and used solely to ensure compatibility and improve performance.

Information We Do NOT Collect

• Your name, email, or contact information
• Precise location data
• The content of your passages or scripture
• Browsing history or activity outside the App

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the App’s functionality
• Understand usage patterns to improve the App
• Diagnose technical issues

We do not use your information for:

Third-Party Services

TelemetryDeck (Analytics)

Bible API

Versari fetches Bible text from bible.helloao.org, a free public API. This service receives only your scripture selection requests (book, chapter, verses) — no personal information is transmitted. See HelloAO.org for more information.

Data Storage and Security

Local Storage
Your passages, practice history, and preferences are stored locally on your device using iOS’s built-in data protection. When your device is locked, this data is encrypted and inaccessible.

No Account Required
The App does not require you to create an account. There is no username, password, or email associated with your use of the App.

No Server-Side Storage of Content
We do not maintain servers that store your passages, practice history, or personal information. All content data remains on your device.

Your Rights and Choices

Delete Your Data

You can delete your data at any time:

• Individual passages: Delete via edit passage modal
• All local data: Uninstall the App to remove all locally stored data

Analytics

Our analytics are anonymous by design and cannot be tied to you. Because there is no user identifier, we cannot delete “your” analytics data — but this data also cannot identify you.

Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
